Success Stories 2005

These are some of the Success Stories for 2005.  See Success Stories 2004 Success Stories 2003 Success Stories 2002 and Success Stories 2001 for our happy GSP placements from previous years.

September 2005

Tula has surprised her new family with what a little lady she is. She is keeping them busy and well exercised.  And, of course, she keeps them smiling as puppies are supposed to do.

September 2005

Tessa (now Hannah) is a happy puppy in her new home.  She has a big sis to show her the ropes and a great family to help her grow into an awesome companion. Keep an eye out about town for this little star!

September 2005

Ajay was the last of his siblings to find a wonderful home but he didn't mind the wait. His new family is friends with the family who adopted one of his sisters so he still gets to play with her (or torment her, depending on the moment).  Like his sisters, he's turned out to be a great ambassador for the great dogs and puppies we have in rescue.

August 2005

Hans had a rough start after being dumped at a dog park with his brother.  That's ancient history now.  He's a cherished member of a wonderful family.  Right away he felt at home and has charmed his family with his sweet puppy ways.

August 2005

Boss (now Luke) charmed his foster family right from the beginning. Once he settled in he decided it was a great place to call home!  He has two dog siblings and some great kids in the extended family.  He had no idea how much fun a family could be.  Now he's a happy dog with a great family of his own.

August 2005

Apollo has a past filled with tragedy but you'd never know it looking at that face!  He's a true survivor and loves life like no other dog we've met.  He greets each new day with a smile and a good romp in the yard.  Apollo has been lucky again in finding a wonderful family who thinks he's very special.  His life from now on will be filled with happiness and lots of his favorite thing...snuggles!

August 2005

Jasmine (now Pippin) quickly made herself at home with her new family.  She has already made a list of her favorite things: fetching her tennis ball, chewing, tormenting her big sister, all of the toys in the house, chewing, sleeping on warm laps, and chewing.  Sounds like she's off to a great start!

August 2005

Lily is the love of her new family's life!  They can't believe what a great puppy she is. Lula has been entertaining them with all her best puppy antics.  She's so happy to have her very own home and people who love her...even when her antics are a bit naughty!

August 2005

Violet (now Lucy) is the next of puppies to find her forever family.  She's happily playing with youngsters in her family and their many friends.  She's also learning a lot at puppy class and is looking forward to some great family outings very soon.

July 2005

Wilson is another GSP who charmed his foster family and decided to stay.  He fits in so well with the family of people, dogs and cats that it seems like he's always been there. His family affectionately calls Wilson "Grampy" and can't imagine life without him.

July 2005

Daisy is the first of her siblings to go to her new home.  She's already started puppy classes and is having a blast making new friends.  Daisy is also amazing her family with her intelligence and quick learning abilities.  Crate training?  Housetraining? Sit?  Down?  Come? Those are a breeze - what's next?

July 2005

Nathan is another of those GSPs that no one can believe ended up in a shelter.  He was a perfect gentleman in his foster home and is a wonderful companion for his new family. He loves running around the property and taking a dip in the lake on warm days.  Another happy ending...

July 2005

Spec (now Becky) enchanted her foster family so quickly that she never even made it onto the web site!  She is living with another adopted GSP and makes sure he gets his daily exercise.  She's a bundle of energy and a ton of fun - "just perfect", says her new family! (Becky is the one on the left.)

July 2005

Fritz (now Bristol) had a rough start after being abandoned but is now a happy camper!  It was his lucky day when he went to our vet and was spotted by a staff person who is a GSP lover. He quickly wiggled and waggled his way into her heart. Bristol now has a wonderful family who thinks he's the greatest!

May 2005

Miles had to wait a long time to find his family but it was sure worth the wait! He's thrilled to have so many people at home to play with and watch over.  He loves taking them  out for walks too. He smiles all the time and loves to show off his very own family.

May 2005

Abby's family is a match made in heaven!  She settled right in and made herself at home.  She goes everywhere with her family and is much loved by all who meet her.  She's another GSP whose family can't believe such a wonderful dog ended up in rescue. They are so happy that Abby is sharing their lives now.

April 2005

Preston and his GSP sister became fast friends.  They both love to run and play and just be silly dogs. The two of them certainly keep their family well entertained. They can't believe someone gave up this wonderful boy and feel very lucky to have him.

April 2005

Keeley thinks her Vizsla little brother can be pesky but at least he is always ready to play!  She's happy to finally have a family of her own.  The snow is fun but she can't wait for all the fun they'll have together this summer.

March 2005

Zoe is loving life in the city!  She loves going to the neighborhood parks and the local beach.  She's a super athlete and loves to show off her moves!  Her family is very proud to have such a wonderful pup.

March 2005

Bodee (now Beau) got to his new home and settled in as if he's always lived there!  He loves playing with his toys and snuggling with his family  His newest pastime is chasing butterflies...but he never catches them.

February 2005

Ginger is a happy dog in her new home.  Like everyone who has met Ginger, her family asked how a near perfect GSP could end up in a shelter.  We have no idea but are excited that she's truly in  her forever home and don't have to wonder any longer.

February 2005

Kayla loves hanging out with her GSP big brother and occasionally tormenting him as young GSPs tend to do.  She's having a great time learning to hunt and is looking forward to the next hunting season.  We think she's a great little girl and her family wholeheartedly agrees!

February 2005

It was love at first sight for Parker and his new family.  They said he's a real heartbreaker and he had no problem stealing their hearts. He's as happy as can be and thrilled to be so loved!

January 2005

Gage (now Milligan) somehow ended up at a shelter with his brother at a very tender age.  We don't know what his life was like before, but he's living large now!  He's keeping his older GSP sister Ella young at heart.  He still full of puppy mischief and antics that make his family smile...most of the time, anyway.

January 2005

Chip waited a long time to find his own family and boy was it worth the wait!  He was so comfortable when he arrived at his new home it was like he'd always lived there. His family thinks he's as precious as we do.  We couldn't be happier for Chip!

January 2005

Otis found his forever family just after the holidays.  They said he is the perfect dog for them and is such a gentleman.  They couldn't believe their good fortune.  Otis feels pretty lucky too, particularly on the days he gets to run at the river!

January 2005

Mackey's foster family decided he was the perfect addition to their home.  He's become the welcomer of all new foster dogs, the ambassador of GSP Rescue, and a constant source of humor to his family.  His family knew he was a special GSP from the beginning. He's taught frightened and stressed foster dogs to play and gently cares for the puppies (and instigates all the mischievous antics). We think he's destined for some great things so stay tuned!
